Travel and Medical Insurance Information

It is compulsary to carry Travel and Medical Insurance to safeguard against financial loss, through loss or destruction of property, accident or illness. It is recommended that you get this insurance prior to leaving your home country, by requesting it through New Zealand Education. Your school can also arrange this for you at the same cost.

New Zealand Education uses two companies; Unicare and Southern-Cross. Policies from these companies cover you for your journey to and from New Zealand and for the time that you spend in New Zealand. You may claim for baggage damage or loss, travel delay, loss of deposits, documents, money and many other unforseen events. For more information on insurance schemes contact New Zealand Education, who can assist you with your insurance needs.
