Special Programmes and Courses
New Zealand Education can advise on a combination course that will combine English language with almost any activity that the client wants.
There is normally a minimum group size of around 7-10 students. A typical program can be arranged from 2 - 6 weeks long. The courses usually include home-stay accommodation, transportation, and activity fees. Prices will depend on what type of activities you request.
Here are some examples of some Group Programmes that New Zealand Education have arranged in the past and can easily arrange for you:
English and Tourism Activities
This is a very popular group programme which combines a basic General English course with a number of activities that may include: weekend trips to tourist destinations, ski fields (winter only), fishing charters, horse riding, jet boating, kayaking, hot pools, farm visits, black water rafting, indoor rock climbing and much more.
Golf and English
Study English part-time and spend your afternoons playing on New Zealand's top golf courses (e.g. Kauri Cliffs, Gulf Harbor, Formosa, and the Grange). Travel to a variety of locations for the weekend to play at international courses and stay at quality hotels. enquiries about this course should be made in advance, especially during the months of November through to March when golfing is very popular in New Zealand.
Skiing and Snowboarding with English
New Zealand is rated as one of the top locations for skiing. Why not learn the English language as you enjoy skiing or snowboarding. You even have an opportunity to gain a qualification as a ski guide, medic, or instructor as you enjoy and learn.
International Business and English (offered by The University of Waikato Language Academy)
A course that combines English language tuition at the Auckland and Hamilton centers, with lectures on International Business in a New Zealand context. Students will spend time at the Language Institute and at the University of Waikato Management School. Students will be expected to produce a practical report on an aspect of international business that interests them, and give a small presentation. This course is ideal for 1st or 2nd year university students who want to improve their English language ability and gain an understanding of business in a New Zealand context. The course will be run in January / July only and applicants must have at least an upper intermediate level of English.
Other schools offer similar Business and English Programs.
Courses in Conservation and Sustainable Land Use
These courses are held in a beautiful forest sanctuary, in the southern Coromandel ranges in the North Island of New Zealand. Courses cover a broad range of environmental, conservation and sustainable land use practices. The programme is practically based with a hands-on approach in the field with resident and guest tutors.
