Statement of Teacher Recruitment Procedures

  • In order to recruit teachers for a school, NZED Holdings Ltd. requires a detailed description of the school, its students, and its curriculum. The name and telephone number of the Academic Director must be provided as must the names and e-mail addresses of two current foreign teachers presently on staff. A sample contract should also be included, which includes salaries and benefits associated with each position. The more information NZED Holdings Ltd. has, the easier it is for us to secure quality candidates, and the more likely they are to accept employment with a school.
  • We need to know if there are any special criteria for hiring.
  • The New Zealand Education Directory (NZED Holdings Limited) will conduct detailed interviews with all potential candidates and will forward the candidate's resume and other pertinent documents to you for final assessment and hiring authorization. NZED Holding Limited will also check references to ensure the reliability and honesty of a candidate, and document this process.
  • NZED Holdings Limited will replace any teacher that is dismissed in the first thirty days of teaching for incompetence or gross violation of the contract. Further, NZED Holdings Limited will replace any teacher that voluntarily resigns in the first thirty days of the employment contract. If NZED Holdings Limited is unable to find a suitable candidate within 30 days, it will refund the recruitment fee in full. In the event that an institute/school violates its own contract, or misrepresents a teaching position to NZED Holdings Limited, this guarantee may not be honored.
  • NZED Holdings Limited is not responsible for any lost revenue or costs associate from the dismissed or who voluntarily resigns, or breeches their contract.  That responsibility fall to the teacher hired.
  • If requested, NZED Holdings Limited will provide assistance in drafting a contract that represents the school's interests and is clear for English speaking teachers.
  • Payment to NZED Holdings Limited's services is due within seven days (7) of invoice receipt. If payment is not made within seven days of receipt, NZED Holdings Limited reserves the right to not honor its guarantee (Article 3), has also reserves the right to charge a 10% late fee per each month the invoice is unpaid.
  • NZED Holdings Limited will bill the institute or local agent in local currency as stated in the Schedule of Fees mentioned below. Payment is to be made by bank transfer to the New Zealand bank and account number NZED Holdings Limited CEO designates. A legal invoice will be provided.
  • NZED Holdings Limited will not assist in arranging transport from the teacher's home country of origin nor their return transportation at completion of contract. Furthermore, we are not responsible for, nor will we assist in, accommodation procurement for said teachers.
  • All bank charges levied in transaction in acquiring the teacher will be the responsibility of the institute. All bank charges levied due to refunds will be the responsibility of NZED Holdings Limited. Furthermore, all correspondence that required fees (in all forms) will be paid for by the party that initiates it.
  • NZED Holdings Limited will not use any other company's name, other than their own (NZED Holdings Limited, NZED, or New Zealand Education Directory) and your school's, in any of its advertising, nor will NZED Holdings Limited present itself as an official representative of any other company.
  • NZED Holdings Limited will in no way misrepresent the terms and conditions of any position offered.  We will be completely transparent to the school and the applicant.
  • NZED Holdings Limited will gather all paperwork relevant to the processing of an employment visa and will ensure that the teacher meets the requirements for an appropriate work visa for the country of destination. The paperwork will then be forwarded to the institute so they can process the appropriate Visa (Visa fees and associated costs are the responsibility of institution/school or applicant).
  • NZED Holdings Limited will provide assistance and information to teachers as necessary before they arrive in the contracted country of employment via e-mail. NZED Holdings Limited will need a reliable contact from your staff to accommodate the flow of this information.
  • NZED Holdings Limited will intervene, as requested, in the event of any disputes that arise between the teacher and the institute at any time during the teacher's contract.
